James Reid is now PH’s food security ambassador
Actor-singer James Reid was named as the ambassador on food security. He is now part of the team that will promote Philippine agriculture. Today, May 26, the Department of Health officialized the appointment DA’s launching of the Farmers and Fisherfolk’s Month, which was attended by the 27-year-old actor.
Agriculture Secretary William Dar says farming has been affected by the COVID-19 crisis. He, then, said that there are opportunities in these challenging times. “This is the time to reboot Philippine agriculture,’ he said.

In fact, the event has the theme “Pagpupugay sa Magsasaka at Mangingisda Natin, Tungo sa Sapat na Pagkain”
The department has yet to announce the projects lined up for the Filipino-Australian star. Meanwhile, in his Instagram account, he expressed his gratitude to the department for trusting him as their new ambassador.

James, together with his ex-girlfriend Nadine Lustre, rose to fame for their roles in the 2014 movie “Diary ng Panget.” He began his acting career after winning the reality show “Pinoy Big Brother” in 2010.
