James Benedict has nothing but love for Francis Libiran
James Benedict recently celebrated his 21st birthday last Friday, September 23 at the Grand Ballroom in the City of Dreams, Pasay. He wore three Francis Libiran creations and he definitely had the greatest show for his celebration.
James Benedict expresses gratitude to Francis Libiran
In case it wasn’t obvious, James Benedict celebrated his 21st birthday with a theme inspired by the 2017 musical drama The Greatest Showman. He wowed attendees with the extravagance of the entire event, as well as the design of the venue.
During dinner, media friends were able to talk to James Benedict who would express his undying gratitude and love for Filipino architect and fashion designer, the one and only – Francis Libiran.
James Benedict celebrated the night with three Francis Libiran creations. He had a gorgeous entrance wearing a gold and white ensemble, perfect for the ringmaster that he is.
Francis Libiran grants James Benedict’s wish to look like the best ringmaster out there.
During the short talk with the media, the celebrant shared what he had asked Francis Libiran for the outfits for his 21st birthday celebration. He expressed how much he wanted to be the ringmaster.
“I am wearing Francis Libiran for tonight… All Francis tayo tonight. This is what I told Francis, ‘I want to be seen from a two-kilometer radius. So, I want something shiny. I want something glittery. I want something fully-beaded. Tapos, I wanted to be the ringmaster that no one would ever wonder why he’s wearing something gold.’ Something like that. Then, he showed me the output and the design.”
Of course, James Benedict and Francis Libiran talked about the outfits prior to the festivities. The celebrant detailed how he felt as if he wanted to cry during the first fitting. That’s when he started to express his gratitude and love for the designer.
“We were thinking about which ones I should wear among the five designs. Both of us agreed on the outfits. Then, we added some details pa together. We were working together. Sobrang ganda lang kasi during the first fitting, parang naiiyak pa ako. Sasabihin ko nalang na, ‘I love you, FL! Kung pwedeng magpirma lang tayo ng exclusivity contract na all of my outfits will be from FL only. I am willing. Very much willing.'”
“I love him talaga to the full extent na FL na tayo all the way, hanggang sa susunod ko pang birthday. Hanggang 40th celebration, ganon! FL all the way. Francis Libiran, talaga, really genius. I mean, you’ve seen the outfit! No one would ever wonder na ‘My gosh, this is a male debut! The outfit is so…’ It’s just so Vogue.”
