Handog Pasasalamat: Extending Love to Dumagat Community in Nueva Ecija

The Michael Lublin Foundation, in partnership with Volunteers and Outreach Advocates, is preparing for a meaningful journey of giving through the “Handog Pasasalamat” Outreach Mission, happening on November 15, 2025, in Sitio Mabaldog, Barangay Maligaya, Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija.

The Dumagat community of Sitio Mabaldog lives deep within the mountain areas of Nueva Ecija, far from the conveniences of the lowlands. Access to food, clean water, and basic necessities remains a daily struggle, especially for children and elderly residents. With this outreach, the foundation and its partner volunteers hope to bridge that gap and also deliver essential aid to one of the most underserved indigenous groups in Central Luzon.

Moreover, the “Handog Pasasalamat” mission focuses primarily on bringing nourishment and comfort to families through the distribution of rice, grocery packs, gallons of clean drinking water, and Jollibee meals for children, along with biscuit buckets (timba) to bring smiles to the little ones. Beyond material aid, the project also aims to build meaningful connections and remind the Dumagat families that they are seen, valued, and supported by a broader community that cares.

I believe that if we combine all forms of support, whether big or small, it can make a huge impact in helping others.
