The Likha & Sinta Collections

“Mom knows best”—that is what flows through every piece in the Likha & Sinta Collections!

In partnership with the nanays of the Batasan Women’s League Consumers Cooperative, the Likha Collection was born from a vision: to let the beaded jewelry long embraced by local communities with their traditional attire thrive in everyone’s fashion. Whether it’s the Lia Earrings, the Tala Earrings, or the Diwa Earrings, each piece carries not just style, but the living soul of national heritage.

More than accessories, they also pour their effort, talent, and love into making not just bags, but wearable work of arts for the Sinta Collection! It all began when HABI discovered their beadwork and suggested using wooden beads to add a natural element and eco-friendly touch to the designs. Since then, that first-ever design collaboration has grown into a range of creations.

From the elegant Julia Beaded Tote, to the eye-catching Beaded Puso Bag, and the adorable Medium Beaded Puso Pitaka Pouch, each item is handmade by the nanays themselves. Ensuring that every piece carries a mother’s touch, infusing fashion with the same care a mother gives when dressing her children.

The Heritage Collection

Wanna wear a piece of Ifugao heritage with every step?

Rooted in the lush rice terraces and rich culture of Kiangan, Ifugao, the Heritage Collection transforms traditional woven textiles into high-quality and beautifully crafted footwear. Before the pieces come to life, the fabrics first undergo traditional weaving techniques, the ikat method. In which bundles of yarn are tightly wrapped and dyed multiple times to achieve the intended patterns and designs.

This collection uses fabrics sourced from Mr. Marlon Martin, an Ifugao weaver and Head of the Save the Ifugao Terraces Movement (SITMO) and Ifugao Nation, preserving the patterns, stories, and craftsmanship of his community.

Take the Mika Black Heels, for example. Its feature of multi-colored woven straps  showcases patterns inspired by traditional Ifugao textiles, with bold geometric motifs representing their culture. The weavers ensure that each detail honors their skill and contributes to SITMO’s mission to preserve Kiangan’s cultural heritage.

The Kawan Collection

Turning what was once discarded into something beautiful and functional—that’s exactly what the people of Payatas have done with this collection!

As the home of the Virgil Eco Weavers, Payatas showcases that every item in this collection is more than just a woven placemat, coaster set, Multipurpose Duffel Pouch, or upcycled bag charm; each piece is carefully crafted by hand with skill, intention, and heart.

What some may see as waste, this community sees as an opportunity to create a better future. Within a growing micro-enterprises ecosystem, they use their sewing and weaving skills to transform fabric scraps into functional pieces, which helps them create a place of hope and opportunity for themselves. That’s why it’s called ‘Kawan’—the Filipino word for ‘herd’ that symbolizes their resilience and positivity. Each creation is more than just a handmade product because it carries the story of the hands that made it. They always turn everyday objects into meaningful expressions of resilience, creativity, and Filipino ingenuity.

Habi Footwear & Lifestyle isn’t just another typical eco-friendly brand you’ll find in the local market. Each collection mentioned reflects HABI’s partnerships with different local communities across the Philippines. These artisans possess immense talent but often lack opportunities to showcase their skills. As HABI calls itself an equalizer, it ensures that everyone has more equal opportunities.

Through these collaborations, HABI Footwear & Lifestyle highlights their skills and talents, giving life to products that are as meaningful as they are beautiful. At the same time, every craft across its collections tells a story of the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage, serving as a reminder that tradition can continue to inspire modern fashion today.
