Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil expressed happiness and excitement as he returned to his home network ABS-CBN following a three-year lull in showbiz.
On April 25, Enrique signed an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN to mark his official comeback to showbiz. The actor was welcomed at a red-carpet event with the presence of several network executives headed by President and CEO Carlo Katigbak.
Moreover, the ceremony was further graced by COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, Chairman Mark Lopez, and Dreamscape Entertainment Head Deo Endrinal. Enrique’s newest talent manager, Ranvel Rufino, also attended as his companion.

Meanwhile, Enrique said he is delighted to reunite with ABS-CBN, his parent network for almost 15 years. A report by Push detailed how he shared his gratitude in his welcoming remarks.
“This is my home and I’m really happy [to be back]. I’ve missed all these faces, it’s been a long time and I think it’s time to come back. Thank you, guys, so much. I love you all.”
On the other hand, Vidanes thanked Enrique for reclaiming his Kapamilya status. She also teased about some of their plans for the comeback star.
“We’re going to give them something different. We will tell meaningful stories that will engage as many audiences globally. That’s what we’re doing. Let’s do this, Enrique. The long wait is over.”
Looking back, Enrique began his three-year showbiz break after his appearance in the drama series Make It With You. The show was his last project with his onscreen and real-life partner, Liza Soberano. After a few episodes, the show was canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak and ABS-CBN’s broadcast shutdown.
Enrique’s other popular projects include Forevermore, Dolce Amore, and Bagani.
