‘Crash Landing On You’ beats ‘Goblin’ as tvN’s Highest Rated Drama


The popular Korean drama Crash Landing On You recently ended their show with a blast.
According to Nielsen Korea, the final broadcast of the 16-episode series that stars Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin achieved an average nationwide rating of 21.683 percent. Moreover, it has a peak rating of 24.1 percent – breaking the 20.5 percent peak rating set by Goblin back in January 2017.
The tvN series premiered in December 2019 with only 6.1% viewership rating but slowly climbed up until its final episode aired on Sunday, February 16, making it the most watched Korean drama so far in 2020.
Crash Landing On You tells the story of South Korean fashion empire owner Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye Jin) and North Korean military officer Ri Jeong-hyeok (Hyun Bin). The two crossed paths when Se-ri accidentally crash-lands on North Korean territory because of a paragliding accident. Ri Jeong-hyeok hides and protects her as they try to find a way for her to safely return to South Korea.
