‘Butter’ still at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 for its 6th consecutive week
Huge K-pop superstars and Grammy nominees Bangtan Boys (BTS) continued their winning streak. Butter grabbed the No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the sixth consecutive week.

As per Billboard, Butter is on the top spot for the July 10-dated Hot 100 chart. It was released on May 21 and debuted at No. 1 on Hot 100 on the June 5-dated chart. According to a tweet from BTS’ official Twitter account following the good news,

The Billboard Hot 100 chart is based on US streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay, and sales. As of July 1, based on MRC Data and as Billboard reported, Butter garnered 11 million US streams for the latest Hot 100 chart. It was an 11-percent decrease compared to 12.4 million US streams on the July 3-dated chart.
The US streams for Butter since its debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100 totaled 118.1 million. Here is the breakdown:
July 10 chart (sixth week) – 11 million US streams
July 3 chart (fifth week) – 12.4 million
June 26 (fourth week) – 12.5 million
June 19 (third week) – 15.4 million
June 12 (second week) – 34.5 million
June 5 (first week) – 32.3 million
As of July 1, Butter also sold 153,600 based on downloads, cassette, and vinyl sales. It was a 20-percent increase from 128,400 last week.
The US sales totaled 914,800 in six weeks. Here are the US sales for Butter in six weeks:

In addition, as of July 4, Butter garnered 28.3 million radio airplay audience impressions. It is an increase of 2 percent from 27.6 million last week. In six weeks, Butter has a total of 146.8 million impressions.

Furthermore, Billboard reported that Butter is also No. 1 on the Digital Song Sales chart for the sixth straight week.
“Sales for Butter in its sixth week reflect availability for its original and instrumental versions released May 21; a Hotter remix released May 28; Cooler, and Sweeter remixes released June 4; an ‘alternate single cover’ digital single released June 24 in the group’s webstore, with all discounted to 69 cents throughout their availability.”
To add, Billboard continued,
“…and two other versions on sale via BTS’ U.S. webstore (a 7-inch vinyl single, for $7.98, and a cassette single, for $6.98) which count for the first time on this week’s charts, dated July 10, a week later than originally expected due to a shift in their shipping schedules (sparking the song’s top Sales Gainer award on the Hot 100, which it claims for a second consecutive week).”
BTS will be releasing the “Butter” CD single on July 9.
