Blooming Movie Stars: Highlighting Cinema’s Finest in the 6th VP Choice Awards

The 6th VP Choice Awards transformed into a garden of glamour on May 29th, 2025, as the entertainment industry’s most beloved figures gathered at Blue Leaf Cosmopolitan in Quezon City for “Blossom: A Floral Affair.” The annual celebration of cinema reached new heights of elegance, honoring the movies and performances that captured audiences’ hearts throughout the year.
Outstanding Achievement in Cinema
The movie category winners represented the diverse landscape of contemporary filmmaking, from heartwarming dramas to edge-of-your-seat thrillers. Each honored film demonstrated the power of storytelling to move, inspire, and connect with audiences on a profound level.
The winning productions showcased exceptional craftsmanship in cinematography, direction, and performance, proving that quality filmmaking continues to thrive. These movies not only entertained but also sparked important conversations and left lasting impressions on viewers worldwide.
How the Blooming Stars were Selected
Voting played a key role in helping this vibrant garden flourish. The Village Pipol Choice Award winners were chosen based on a specific scoring breakdown. The VPCA App and engagement on Facebook Reels each held a 30% weight in the final tally. The VP Editorial Team also played a significant role, contributing 30% of the score, with a Panel of Judges providing the last 20%.
This dual system combines the authentic voice of the audience with professional expertise, creating results that reflect both popular appeal and artistic merit. The public voting component saw unprecedented participation this year, with film enthusiasts actively engaging across digital platforms to support their favorite productions.
