Blessings of Faith, Hope, and Love: 5 Years with Pasig Doctors Medical Center

The last few years have been undeniably hard, especially for the health sector. Our health care workers struggled under the pandemic. But despite all hardships, Pasig Doctors Medical Center (PDMC) was among those who persisted and endured – all in the name of service to the community.

This is why in its fifth year, the Pasig Doctors Medical Center celebrates the ‘Blessings of Faith, Hope, and Love: For our Frontliners and our Community.’

Of Faith

The celebration opened yesterday, June 12, with a Holy Mass presided by the Most Reverend Mylo Hubert Vergara D.D.

And indeed, as a new chapter opens for PDMC, the new year was marked with blessings.

Bishop Mylo led the benediction of the hospital’s newly constructed areas. These are PDMC’s Molecular Laboratory, Lactation Room, TB DOTS, and lastly, their Drive Thru Lab.

These guarantee better service to the four extensive quadrants PDMC is serving. Vowing to serve Quezon City, Marikina, Rizal, and Pasig better.

The program commences as the President of PDMC’s Board Member and Officers, President Ma. Mayumi B. Gillana, M.D., gave her welcoming remarks. She(?) emphasized:

“As we move on to the enormous task of the implementation and integration of the universal healthcare…we plan to bring forth a much more interactive process with the local government and private sector.”

Of Hope

Guests were further filled with joy as esteemed guests graced the event.

Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto came, along with Vice Mayor-elect Robert ‘Dodot’ Jaworski and Vice Mayoress Mikee Cojuangco-Jaworski.

Mayor Vico Sotto led the Oath of Office of the newly elected Board Officers and Members.

He also gave his congratulatory speech, nodding the efforts of Pasigueños. Emphasizing how the success of the city’s COVID-19 response was thanks to the help of every Pasigueño.

Lastly, Mayor Vico acknowledged how the local government of Pasig could not have done it without the help of the private sector.

“Sa mga pagkakataon na nahirapan ang lokal na pamahalaan, sa inyo rin po kami humihingi ng tulong. At kahit bata pa ang ating ospital, five years, relatively new, pero nakita natin ang kalidad ng inyong serbisyo, nakita po natin ang inyong malasakit sa pagbibigay ng serbisyo sa ating mga kapwa Pasigueño, maging sa ating karatig lungsod.”
