Binibining Cebu 2020 Beatrice Gomez is proud having a girlfriend
Indeed, love knows no gender in this world. The newly-crowned Binibining Cebu 2020 Beatrice Luigi Gomez made proud the colorful community of LGBT for having a girlfriend.
During the pageant’s question-and-answer portion, Gomez bravely revealed that she, in fact, has a girlfriend. “I guess what makes me beautiful is my bravery and being true to myself,” she says when asked by the judges what makes her beautiful.
“To tell you, guys, honestly, I have a girlfriend, I have tattoos, and I’m very proud of my imperfection. And I guess that’s what makes me beautiful,” she adds. The pageant was held at the Pacific Grand Ballroom of Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino on Monday night.
In her interview with The Freeman, the beauty queen confirmed that she’s in a relationship for five years with her performance DJ girlfriend Kate Jagdon. In fact, the DJ often supports Gomez to join beauty pageants. “I am very happy that the organization accepted me for who I am and that people are supporting my cause.”
“If I hide it, I will be hurting a lot of people including my girlfriend,” she adds. Gomez also added that she fully supports the LGBT community. “I am your representative, and I hope I made all of you proud.”

Meanwhile, the DJ posted a congratulatory message to Gomez via Instagram after she was crowned as Binibining Cebu 2020. “Congratulations to the new Binibining Cebu 2020 Beatrice Luigi Gomez and the rest of her court, besting over 53 other candidates in the pageant held in Waterfront, Cebu,” part of the post reads.
