Behind Closed Doors of ‘Ang Happy Homes ni Diane Hilario’
From sharing laughter to trembling in thrills, what happens to a close-knit neighborhood when a series of sudden deaths enter their joy-filled community?
Ang Happy Homes ni Diane Hilario is a drama-thriller film that follows the story of tenants living in a tenement building, Happy Homes. A community braced by the behind-the-closed-door stories of tenants, their compassion and love for each other.
However, things change when one loss becomes a series of unrelated deaths — shattering the community’s trust among themselves. Could you identify a killer inside a community built on trust and happiness?
This film was powerfully directed by Marlon Rivera, one of the creators of Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank. It redefines the concept of kapitbahay in the middle of fear, disorder, and mystery. It challenges how far people will go to protect one another — and themselves.
The film stars renowned celebrities Eugene Domingo, Richard Yap, Paolo Contis, Luis Alandy, and Angeline Quinto as Diane Hilario.
From soulful singing to heartwarming acting
Angeline Quinto marks a turning point for her fifteenth anniversary in the entertainment industry. She takes lead and producer roles on this film. Along with her is KreativeDen Entertainment, a content production company known for producing films and series that captures Filipino values.
At the film screening of “Ang Happy Homes ni Diane Hilario” on November 7, Angeline expressed her gratitude for Director Marlon Rivera for making her portray Diane Hilario.
“Alam niyo po, sa totoo lang… ngayon ko lang sasabihin pero si Direk Marlon Rivera talagang ‘dream come true’ na direktor siya para sakin,” Quinto said.
Furthermore, Quinto shared her love for both singing and acting as she celebrates her fifteenth year in the PH entertainment.
“And siguro bilang isang singer, kasi magfi-fifteen years na po ako next year, wala naman sigurong masama kung subukan ko po ulit ang umarte. Dahil bukod sa pagkanta, minahal ko rin talaga ang acting. And ayaw ko pong sayangin ang tiwala na binibigay sa akin kasi kung kaya ko naman, kailan ko gagawin ‘di ba?”
Stories of shared rooms and roots
This exciting film unfolds the stories behind the closed doors inside the neighborhood. It transcends love in all aspects, from sharing rooms to sharing their own experiences.
Angeline Quinto expressed how proud she is of this film, and its underlying eye-opening message.
“Napa-proud lang ako sa movie na ‘to… And for me po, itong pelikula naming ‘Ang Happy Homes ni Diane Hilario’, feeling ko kasi ito talaga ‘yung menshe na gusto namin iparating sa mga kapwa Pilipino namin sa mga panahon ngayon. So, kapag napanood ‘to ng mga Pinoy kahit saang sulok ng mundo, I’m sure mas magiging matapang sila sa mga gusto nilang ipaglaban sa buhay.”
Unveiling Filipinos’ love for their kapitbahays, catch ‘Ang Happy Homes ni Diane Hilario’ in cinemas nationwide on December 3, 2025.
