Arjo Atayde rushed to the hospital after testing positive for COVID-19

Arjo Atayde got rushed to a hospital in Manila after testing positive for the deadly COVID-19 disease in Baguio.
The actor was shooting for the movie Hey Joe before testing positive last Monday, August 16, according to Feelmaking Productions.
A statement by his production
In a statement by the production company released on Wednesday, August 18, they said,
“Arjo was suffering from high fever, headaches, and difficulty in breathing. It was the mutual decision of Feelmaking Productions, Inc., Arjo’s parents, and doctors to rush the actor, who has a pre-existing medical condition, straight to a hospital in Manila on August 17.”
Furthermore, Feelmaking Productions said nine other people tested positive for COVID-19, yet all are asymptomatic and are in quarantine.
In addition, the Atayde family has reached out to Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong, the production company said.
“[W]e assure him and the people of Baguio that we will comply with our commitments to the City. We are grateful for the opportunity to shoot in their beautiful city and apologize for whatever inconvenience that this unfortunate incident may have caused.”
The mayor’s side of the issue
Earlier Wednesday, Magalong told the media that film productions in the city would halt after Atayde tested positive.
Furthermore, he revealed how Atayde left Baguio before receiving the results confirming his positive COVID-19 case.
In addition, Magalong, also known as the contact tracing czar of the country, divulged how Atayde and his team promised to create their own “bubble” to avoid infecting the Baguio locals.
Yet, according to the mayor, some of the film crew were leaving Manila amid shooting and were not following the health protocols of the city.
