AIA Philippines, BPI AIA Recognized Again for Exemplary Corporate Governance with Golden Arrow Awards

AIA Philippines Life and General Insurance Company, Inc. (AIA Philippines), formerly Philam Life and one of the country’s premier life insurance providers, and BPI AIA Life Assurance Corporation (BPI AIA), the bancassurance partnership between AIA Philippines and the Bank of the Philippine Islands, once again honored at the 2025 Golden Arrow Awards, receiving distinctions for their sustained excellence in corporate governance and ethical business leadership.

Its AIA Philippines’ eighth consecutive year of winning a Golden Arrow Award, and for BPI AIA, the sixth straight year. This year, AIA Philippines received a Two-Arrow recognition while BPI AIA awarded Three Arrows.

Continued efforts in strengthening governance frameworks

This reflects each company’s continued efforts in strengthening governance frameworks, fostering stakeholder trust, and delivering long-term value creation, a critical priority as Filipinos increasingly seek transparency, accountability, and reliability from financial and insurance institutions. Because the Philippines aims to further elevate its position in ASEAN corporate governance rankings, recognitions such as these add momentum to efforts that promote a stronger, more competitive, and globally aligned business environment.

The Golden Arrow, awarded to organizations that achieve at least 80 points in the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) assessment, which evaluates corporate governance practices against Philippine regulations and internationally recognized standards. Criteria include protection of shareholder rights, equitable treatment, disclosure and transparency, board responsibilities, and stakeholder engagement.
