2023 Upcoming Movies To Get Excited About

Movies are a great form of entertainment when we want to learn, feel, and experience a new reality apart from our lives. And after almost 2 years of watching movies on our own screens, the movie industry successfully made a return on the big screens. With the success of this year’s movie industry, we cannot help but wonder what is there to come in the following years.

Well, here is some good news for all cinephiles out there, 2023 movies are just as exciting! Most entertainment studios already released a lineup of next year’s films even though 2023 is yet to come. And to narrow it down, here are a few 2023 incoming movies that you should definitely check out.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

Animated fans are in for a treat next year! The next addition in Spider-Man animated movies, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, is finally coming into theaters on June 2023. Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, all equally-respected directors are leading the film. Meanwhile, returning for this film are voice actors Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, and Oscar Isaac who appeared in the first installment of this movie series. Across the Spider-Verse will follow the friendly neighborhood superhero, Spider-man, as he gets transported into the multiverse to face a new villain stronger than those he fought before.

After multiple delays, a teaser had already been released. This hints at the possible movie conflict and, surprisingly, the romance between Miles and Gwen. Could this then be the film where we see the love story of the two blossomings? Well, we only have less than a year to find out.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Our long-loved science-fiction movie, Transformers, is also not to be missed next year. Following Bumblebee’s overall movie success, Paramount decided to continue working on the Beast Wars’ timeline for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. This film, directed by Steven Caple Jr., will show the return of our favorite sentient robots, Autobots and Decepticons, and their respective descendants, Maximals and Predacons. Although plot specifics are yet to be released, Rise of the Beasts’ producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura teased in a virtual event that a separate villain will disrupt the world,

“We get to pair everybody up against each other… But it’s really Terrorcons who are the leading villains.”

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes

Next year is also a good year for bookworms. Not long after the novel The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes was published, Lionsgate Studio quickly decided to adapt the film to big screens. The film is a prequel to the original movie franchise, The Hunger Games, and will follow the life of Coriolanus Snow six decades before he became the president of Panem. This movie also flaunts a star-studded cast headed by Tom Blyth, Rachel Zegler, Josh Andrés, and Hunter Schafer.
