Iconic TECNO CAMON 20 Pro Series boosts TECNO’s ranking during the 7.7 sale, emerges as the bestselling smartphone on TikTok

Innovative technology brand TECNO is poised to grab the coveted top spot as the number one smartphone brand in major Philippine e-commerce platforms. This is after capturing the No.1 spot in smartphone sales last July 8 at TikTok Shop Philippines.

Redefining TikTok live shopping

TECNO was recognized as a Sales Champion by TikTok Shop Philippines after the 7.7 sale. This milestone was achieved after the highly successful livestream and live shopping session led by iconic showbiz celebrity brand ambassador Joshua Garcia and epic gamer Akosi Dogie last July 8. It was the first time on TikTok Shop for a heartthrob sensation and a top-ranked online gamer to collaborate on a hugely well-received live shopping session on its platform.

The live shopping format, dubbed as “shoppertainment,” featured the maiden team up of Joshua and Akosi Dogie on TECNO Philippines’ TikTok’s first ever participation on a TikTok Shop sale such as 7.7. Joshua and Akosi Dogie played Mobile Legends Bang Bang (MLBB) using the iconic, award-winning TECNO CAMON 20 Pro Series. Fans also got the rare opportunity to play MLBB with Joshua and Akosi Dogie. They also had video calls with their idols.

The collaboration resulted in an e-commerce milestone for TECNO. TECNO also ranked third in smartphone sales on July 7 at the start of the 7.7 sale. They also secured the top spot as the best-selling smartphone on TikTok 7.7 Sale as the best-selling smartphone on TikTok Shop 7.7 Sale. It happened last July 8 during the epic gaming livestream. Aside from clinching the number one spot, TECNO also reached another milestone, with 700,000 subscribers on its TikTok platform.

TECNO Milestone on E-commerce Platform

TECNO’s gung ho efforts in the e-commerce platforms are conquering not just TikTok Shop Philippines, but also Shopee Philippines and Lazada Philippines. In both platforms, it was ranked number three in two categories – GMV and Orders/Sales during the 7.7 sale.

From July, TECNO Philippines’ TikTok will have daily live shopping sessions. Moreover, it will have monthly big sale events every month  that will offer discounts and other surprise promos to customers.

TECNO, together with the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation, Inc., launched yesterday the ICONIC Philippines CAMON 20 Pro Series Photography Contest. The photo competition is meant to bring out the contestants’ creativity and talent in capturing the quintessential Filipino spirit.
