Miss Intercontinental 2023 set for December in Egypt
Salaam ‘alei-kum! The search for the most beautiful woman of all continents will be returning to the transcontinental country of Egypt as Miss Intercontinental formally announced the date and venue of its 2023 finals.
The pageant’s 51st edition will be taking place on December 15 in Sharm el-Sheikh. The organization headed by its president Manoj Chatlani made the announcement through a social media post on August 9.
Miss Intercontinental 2023 set for December in Egypt
Founded in 1971, Miss Intercontinental is one of the world’s oldest beauty pageants. For its titleholder, they are looking for a confident, genuine person who can express herself and articulate her goals.
A total of 80 candidates from across the six continents will be participating in this year’s competition. Sunrise resorts and cruises in Hurghada will serve as the pageant’s main venue where Bao Ngoc Le Nguyen, Miss Intercontinenal 2022 from Vietnam will be crowning her successor.
This will be the fourth consecutive year that Egypt will host the pageant.
The Philippines will be sending Mutya ng Pilipinas 2023 Iona Violeta Gibbs as its official representative. An 18-year-old Filipino-Canadian singer and model from Bataan, Iona will aim to win the country its third Miss Intercontinental crown.

Filipinas who have won the pageant includes Karen Gallman in 2018, and Cinderella Obeñita in 2021.
