Malaysia wins Mister National Universe 2023; Philippines came in fourth
The doctor is out, and the pageant king is in! Congratulations to Benedict Yu of Malaysia for winning Mister National Universe 2023. A 28-year-old Medical Doctor from Kota Kinabalu, he becomes the first Malaysian to take home the crown.
Besting out 21 other candidates for the title, the pageant’s coronation took place last night, June 27 at the Amari Watergate Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.
Malaysia wins Mister National Universe 2023; Philippines came in fourth
A powerhouse at Mister National Universe, Malaysia has now finished in the Top 5 in three of the competition’s four editions. Aside from the title, they have garnered a first and second runner-up finishes as well as one Top 5 placement.
Meanwhile, Philippine candidate Michael Ver Comaling lands in the Top 5, finishing as 3rd runner-up. The Pentathlete and former Pinoy Big Brother Housemate was also hailed Mister Photogenic.
Fresh from his victory, Mister International Philippines will be crowning its successor tonight.
Completing the list of runner-ups are Marcus Charlie Bishop of England, Kritti Nampradit of Thailand and Tishkin Vladislav of Latvia. They finished first, second, and fourth runner-ups, respectively.
