Toyota RAIZE — the newest model of Toyota

The Raize, Toyota‘s newest model, was unveiled on February 4, 2022. It was set to fight against the Ford EcoSport, Kia Stonic, and Volkswagen T-Cross. The rebadged Daihatsu Rocky has a competitive price tag, starting at P746,000 for the entry-level 1.2 E 5-MT trim and rising to P1,031,000 for the top-of-the-line 1.0 Turbo CVT trim.

The performance of the Raize is based on Daihatsu’s DNGA platform. It is primarily focused on Kei car and city car models and has yet to be tested on local roads.

Why Toyota Raize?

So many options now exist in that previously “untenable” price point, to the benefit of customers and to aid mobility. Even more thrilling, traditionally reserved for more expensive rides, features and creature comforts have begun to surface in more affordable models on a regular basis.

Tech accessories and toys have become regular fare. This came to the point where discerning customers on a budget might actually pull the trigger on value-packed goods that look to stretch the devalued peso.

Furthermore, the unique notion that pushed the Rush into our imagination (a sub-P1 million SUV) has become conventional. Companies compete on lower prices and better specs.

They are now prepared to fight in a market that was formerly designated for smaller players who could afford to price themselves lower. In the race for this profitable area, there’s undoubtedly a lot of nervous sweating going on.

Because of the excitement for the form and the appealing price point that the vehicle brings to the table, it is called the Raize — the worst-kept secret before it became an open secret. We know Toyota will formally unveil it on Feb. 4 (when it will be available for retail sales), but the industry is already buzzing with anticipation — or, as the case may be, sweating.

This new car awaits for their new owners, get one and own the road!
