The Philippine Heritage Society Ball 2022 sets to promote Filipino arts and culture
The Philippine Heritage Society promotes Filipino arts and culture, as well as Filipino creatives. The society will hold The Philippine Heritage Society Ball 2022 on Monday, July 25 at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel. The glittering soiree, on the other hand, sets to mesmerize its attendees from various social circles.
The society decorates the venue with the refinements of Old Manila society. They will also fashion its program into a Quadrille Ball. LyrOPERA co-presents the event. The opera, then, will perform magnificent music that complements opulent Filipino decor elements. This would also include Capiz shells, Anahaw leaves, and Sampaguita blossoms.
An Exceptional Night for Traditional Filipino Arts and Culture: The Philippine Heritage Society
The event will feature true Filipino and glamorous segments. Aside from a waltz dance and a fashion show, an awarding ceremony will remain as the ball’s segment.
Waltz Dance
Filipino Balse and classic Kundiman songs will render the waltz arrangement. This will also create a special air of elegance and sophistication. This also complements the nostalgic style of waltz dance and the east-meets-west music. Attendees will also don reimagined versions of the traditional Filipiniana fashion like the barong and the terno.
Harana: Fashion Walk for Culture
Furthermore, fashion will remain best promoted as a great and uplifting part of heritage and culture in the segment. This fashion show will have muses and personalities in the social circle, business, finance, fashion, culture, and the arts. Then, opera artists from the LyrOPERA will serenade renowned Filipino fashion designers. Meanwhile, these muses model the reimagined versions of the traditional Filipiniana.
These Filipinianas will come from designers like
- Lito Perez
- Edgar Madamba
- Edgar San Diego
- Peri Diaz
- Ronaldo Arnaldo
- Peter Lim
- Ditta Sandico
- Ole Morabe
- Oskar Peralta
- Frankie de Leon
2022 Filipino Heritage Awards
The 2022 Filipino Heritage Awards will grant the companies and individuals that help define Filipino identity in the field of arts, heritage, and culture. This year’s ceremony of granting the awards will also set the precedent for honoring and giving citations to a wide range of brands and personalities. This also includes prominent corporate institutions, household name consumer products, and fine art purveyors.
Of course, the LyrOPERA has roots with ten years under its belt. As a partner of the society, they remained steadfast in dedicating their initiatives to the presentation of Philippine arts and culture. They also uphold the welfare of artists and artisans. Among their planned initiatives include balls, fashion shows, exhibits, seminars, community immersions, and outreach programs.
LyrOPERA | Lyric Opera of the Philippines
Two tenor friends John Glenn Gaerlan and Sherwin Sozon founded LyrOPERA in 2012. The company remains a non-stock non-profit opera company. Its mission also aims to champion Filipino artists through performance, education, and outreach.
In their maiden year, the company presents Voci Celesti: An Opera Gala, a concert bringing singers from six Asian cities. These also include Shanghai, Hong Kong, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Baguio, and Manila. Then, they come with the Manila Symphony Orchestra; and Georges Bizet’s Carmen under the direction of Laurice Guillen.
With LyrOPERA officers leading The Philippine Heritage Society, they remain highly regarded in the Filipino arts and culture scenes and industry-related to this field.
