Let us start by frying it.
1-2. Potato chips and fries
While elders hate fried food, children, and teenagers always crave it. We want it dry and salty and for us, potato lovers we want it in a chip and fries style.
For potato chips, we just need to slice the vegetable into thin circular pieces while for fries, all we need to do is slice it vertically. Both of these two are perfect appetizers or snacks to eat right before tasting the main course in front of you.
Now, here’s what our main course has to offer.
3. Chicken adobo
Filipinos love to eat meat. We like it cooked in many different ways but knowing us, we always have an eye for adobo. Here, each of us has its own way to cook it but I like it meaty and with potatoes. So to cook it, we just need the following:
- 2 lbs chicken
- 2 medium potatoes cubed
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 5 cloves crushed garlic
- 3 pieces dried bay leaves
- 1 tbsp whole peppercorn
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- Salt to taste
Once you have everything of these ingredients, you’re now good to go to cook your own version of chicken adobo with potatoes.
