Digital Nomads Share Their Life: From Home To Anywhere

Digital Nomads

Digital nomads – Sounds dreamy, right?

Laptop open, beach view, and a mango shake on the side. But for some Filipino remote workers, it’s a lifestyle.

We caught up with two Filipino WFH pros, Jeff and Laine, who swapped their office desks for destination spots. Here’s how they’re doing it (and how they’re doing it smart).

Jeff: Beachfront Meetings and Backup SIMs

Jeff’s the type of guy who literally turns “work from home” into “work from wherever” He’s been hopping around vacation spots all over the Philippines, and honestly? He’s thriving.

Before booking his stays, whether it’s a hotel or a temporary rental, Jeff checks the essentials first:

  • Generator
  • Fast and stable WiFi
  • Affordable karinderyas nearby

He even brings multiple SIM cards and pocket WiFis just in case one network decides to ghost him.

Now that’s a win.

And he’s not just spending like crazy. Jeff keeps things budget-friendly by staying at affordable spots and sticking to nutritious yet affordable meals. He’s still able to build his savings, all while living his best life.

Laine: Nomad-ish Life, Family Edition

Laine says she’s not sure if she counts as a “digital nomad”, but we’re saying: close enough!

Her setup? Two vacation spots every three weeks, then home to visit family on the last week of the month.

Like Jeff, she doesn’t mess around when it comes to work essentials. Fast WiFi and a generator are non-negotiables. And she’s never picked a spot that would make her go off-grid — unless she’s officially on leave.

And hold on… travel partner perks? A whole Balabac moment with Laine, caught on cam. Check out Aydan’s montage of the trip!

Work-Life Balance but Make It Tropical

Jeff and Laine both agree on one thing: changing your environment helps.
They feel more energized, creative, and focused when their “office” comes with a view.

But it’s not always luxury and lounging. It’s still real work — just with better scenery.

And the best part? You don’t have to go broke doing it. With smart planning and budget hacks (hello, affordable stays and local eats), this lifestyle becomes way more doable than it sounds.
