Brace yourselves, Pipol! The VP Choice Awards (VPCA), the Philippines’ most anticipated and engaged award ceremony, is here! It has returned and is even more magnificent, dazzling, and astounding.

The 4th installment of VPCA gets even bigger and exciting with the introduction of new awards to recognize the Pipol’s favorites in K-Entertainment; K-Pop Act of the Year, K-Drama of the Year and K-Drama Couple of the Year are among the new awards in this category.
The Korean pop culture has made a huge impact in the lives of Filipinos over the past few years! Are you one of those millions stunning your favorites K-Pop group, or you like to binge watch your favorite K-Drama?, or you like doing both?
This years VPCA is honoring the new generation of K-Pop artists who made waves in 2022 and caught the attention of many Filipino fans. Hence, check this to see if your favorite K-Pop group is on the list.
Here are the nominees for the ‘K-Pop Act of the Year’:

- Enhypen
- Itzy
- TXT
- TNX
K-dramas are particularly well-loved across Asia. Additionally, the popularity of K-dramas is largely attributed to the “Korean Wave” Also, this year, VPCA is awarding the K-Drama series which the viewers loved.
Here are the nominees for the ‘K-Drama Series of the Year’:
- Business Proposal (SBS TV/Netlfix)
- Alchemy of Souls 1&2 (tvN / Netflix)
- All of Us Are Dead (Netflix)
- Bad Prosecutor (KBS2/Viu)
- Little Women (tvN/Netflix)
- The Extraordinary Atty. Woo (ENA/Netflix)
Inevitably, since K-Drama has also been brought up. Consequently, are the K-Drama couples from our favorite shows going to be forgotten? K-Drama couples that made us giddy and in love. Besides, this year, VPCA is awarding the K-Drama couples that made the viewers feel kilig.
Here are the nominees for the ‘K-Drama Couple of the Year’:
- Kim Se-jeong and Ahn Hyo-seop (Business Proposal)
- Lee Jae-wook and Go Youn-jung (Alchemy of Souls)
- Park Hyung Sik and Han Hyo Joo (Happiness)
- Do Kyung-Soo & Lee See-Hee (Bad Prosecutor)
- Jung Hae-in and Jisoo (Snowdrop)
- Kang Tae-oh & Park Eun-bin (Extraordinary Atty. Woo)
Furthermore, the voting period will take place from February 10 to March 10. Likewise, to determine the winners, below is the criteria for judging:
• 30% from the VP Choice Awards’ Facebook shares,
• 20% from Village Pipol’s Facebook shares,
• 30% from our editorial team, and
• 20% from the deliverance of experts panel
Also, the theme for this year’s event is “Supernova: Our Brilliant Burst of Light,” which denotes that it’s time to celebrate our brilliant explosion and embrace our blooming blast.
Finally, the live ceremony for the VPCA will return! Furthermore, the awards ceremony will take place on March 29, 2023, at the Glass Garden on Evangelista Avenue in Pasig City.
