Tracy Maureen Perez arrives in Puerto Rico, vying to claim the second Miss World title

After 30 hours of travel from the Philippines, Miss World Philippines 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez finally arrived in Puerto Rico.

On Instagram, she posted video clips as she travels en route to the host country of this year’s Miss World. She left the Philippines on Friday, March 11.

In her post, she stated that she’s “very happy” as she safely arrived a day early and had no flight delay.

“Travel time was just about 30 hours compared to last time’s 40! Yup, i’ll take 30😆,” she added.

The Cebuana beauty queen is also excited to reach her “extraordinarily big dreams” as she vies to claim the second title of Miss World for the Philippines after Megan Young.

“Let’s do this! Laban Bisaya, Laban Pilipinas 🇵🇭💙✨” she said.

Last January, she was named as one of the top 40 candidates advancing to the final round. The organization also revealed the 15 “fast track winners” on their social media page.

Along with the top 40 candidates are the fan favorites, including the bets from South Africa, Venezuela, India, and more.

Earlier in December, Tracy secured a berth in the finals night having won the head-to-head battle. That same month, she also won Miss World’s Beauty with a Purpose challenge.

Originally, Miss World the schedule for the coronation night was on December 17 in Puerto Rico. However, the organization decided to cancel the pageant due to health and safety concerns.

The coronation night will be held on March 16 at 8 PM (Puerto Rico time). Meanwhile, Filipinos can watch it live on March 17 at 8 AM.
