Outstanding performers to grace 4th VP Choice Awards
Attention, Pipol! We are so close to witnessing the return of the 4th VP Choice Awards (VPCA) live ceremony.
VP Choice Awards is the most engaged award-giving body in the country, produced by Red Entertainment, Inc. and Village Pipol. It recognizes the prime and supreme in the travel, entertainment, lifestyle, technology, and business industries.
Moreover, the highly anticipated event welcomes the theme Supernova: Our Brilliant Burst of Light for its fourth edition. Almost 100 accolades were introduced this year, while the public voting concluded last March 10, followed by the judges’ deliberation.
As part of the long list of grand surprises, VPCA handpicked several performers to grace its much-awaited awards night. They will enliven the ceremony with the presence of the brightest stars and personalities in the gathering.
Here are your 4th VP Choice Awards performers:
Caleb Santos
Caleb is a singer, songwriter, producer, and actor managed by Viva Records. He was a former bandmate of the sing-and-dance boy group XLR8, known for I Love You Girl and You’re So Hot, among others. The formation, however, stayed active only until 2012.
In 2016, Caleb decided to make his name in the industry by debuting with the solo I Need You More Today. The piece was a massive hit, having reached over 70 million streams on Spotify and counting. It was also featured in the 2017 movie Isandaang Tula Para Kay Stella.
Hazel Faith
A former child music prodigy, Hazel Faith is now an actress, singer, and songwriter. The 26-year-old gained a headstart after winning the Glee Send Off to Hollywood international contest, opening doors of opportunities. She is also behind the smash hit Kinikilig, which became one of the theme songs for the 2019 film Born Beautiful.
Additionally, Hazel’s latest release is Pasko Kasama Mo, launched in 2022. For this project, she collaborated with another musical artist, Jericho Arceo.
Jason Fernandez
A seasoned musician, Jason was the former frontman of the Filipino alternative rock band, Rivermaya. He is best known for becoming a finalist for the second season of The Voice Philippines under the team of Sarah Geronimo. Correspondingly, he joined Tawag ng Tanghalan: Celebrity Champions, finishing as a first runner-up.
Furthermore, Jason was a cast of the 2015 ABS-CBN melodrama series Doble Kara and the drama anthology Maalaala Mo Kaya. He voiced several jingles and theme songs in partnership with different brands.
John Arcenas and Ally Gonzales
John is a singer who started his career by participating in the mystery music game show I Can See Your Voice. Following his stint there, he took workshops to pursue acting, furthering his entrance into the showbiz industry. He has appeared in Crazy In Love With You and Regal Studio Presents: My Boss, My Love.
Meanwhile, Ally is an artist versed in acting, dancing, and singing. She was a semi-finalist in Eat Bulaga’s Bida Next segment. In December 2022, she joined Kelvin Miranda on the cover of Village Pipol’s VP Spotlight. The same year, the two released their collaboration single, Gusto Kita.
Lady Gagita
Lady Gagita is a famous drag performer known for her amazing impersonations. One of her transformations previously caught the attention of Katy Perry. She was a contestant in Drag Den Philippines and currently hosts Feel Good Studio’s reality program, Mudrakels.
In addition, Lady Gagita appeared on several GMA television shows, including Tadhana, Wish Ko Lang, and Magpakailanman. She fought strong during the VP Choice Awards 2019 and 2021 as a two-time Drag Queen of the Year titleholder.
Spencer Salazar Geronimo
The 25-year-old Spencer is a multi-talented native of Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija. He played a supporting role in the 2020 boys’ love series Lakan. On top of this, he also wrote and performed the theme songs Magkaibang Mundo and Sa Agos Mo for the program.
Last year, Spencer went viral and made headlines across different news platforms after his gender-bend transformation as the male Darna. At present, he is determined to focus on his artistry as an indie musician, actor, and composer.
