Barbie Forteza lines up at 4 AM to be a registered voter
Barbie Forteza shared her experience of lining up to register herself as a voter in the Philippines.
On Instagram last Thursday, September 23, the Kapuso actress recounted lining up at 4 AM to be a registered voter.
Barbie wrote,
“Nagsimulang pumila ng 4AM at ngayon ay REHISTRADO NA AKO!!!”
Moreover, she encouraged her followers, saying there is still time to register so they can participate in the 2022 elections.
“Kayo rin! Pwede pa pong humabol sa pagpaparehistro para makaboto!”
Barbie joins a list of celebrities who took to social media to share how they registered to vote for the coming elections.
Last September 17, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach did her part by registering while she is in Abu Dhabi.
Furthermore, Kapamilya star Maris Racal recalled lining up at 2:30 AM for her voter registration.
The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) reported how there are five million new voters in the country as of September 16.
The deadline for voter registration, September 30, is coming near.
On the other hand, the Philippine Senate approved a bill extending voter registration on its second reading.
Once approved and signed into law, voter registration will be extended until October 31.
