Google Search and its future generative AI features

Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google, confirmed that the company will integrate large language models, or LLMs, into Google Search. Thus, Google Search AI may change the way we look for information online.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai shared this long-term goal with the Wall Street Journal. However, he did not specify when the new AI features will be implemented.

In a statement to the Wall Street Journal, he said Google is testing the ability to ask questions after an initial search query. This comes weeks after the launch of Google Bard, which is not integrated with Google Search. At the time of writing, Bard is still in its testing phase, and users must register to try it.

The features of Google Search AI will have to wait for its release. Mashable says it may be similar to Microsoft’s Bing AI. By discussing the features of Bing AI, we will get a better understanding of how Google Search AI might work. Bing AI is Microsoft’s AI chatbot that rivals ChatGPT.

As with ChatGPT, it can answer questions as if it were a human, as well as create essays, scientific papers, and jokes.

Using Google Search AI will make online research a breeze as it summarizes content before clicking on websites.

With its Conversation Style options, you can change how Bing AI writes responses.

The Creative feature forces Bing Ai to use more colorful language in its responses, resulting in longer, more creative answers.

Alternatively, Precise triggers the Microsoft chatbot to share precise details. As a result, it provides shorter, more factual responses.

Aside from offering a balance between Creative and Precise settings, the Balanced option also comes with a Bing AI chatbot that acts as a personal assistant.

Using its mobile app, you can chat with the chatbot and translate foreign texts.

In the future, Google Search AI may be able to fine-tune its results based on the needs of the user, such as suggesting scientific sources for homework.

Bing AI’s latest feature is Image Creator, a text-to-image generator like Stable Diffusion or DALL-E. Applying this feature to Google Search AI might facilitate searching for photos online.

Due to the possibility of artificial intelligence competing with Google’s search engine, it has been working on relevant upgrades, such as Google Search AI.

Google plans to incorporate artificial intelligence into its Workspace apps as well as its search engine. It will implement the following features:

  1. Gmail will prioritize, summarize, draft, and reply to your messages.
  2. Docs will write, rewrite, proofread, and brainstorm content.
  3. Slides will offer auto-generated pictures, audio, and videos.
  4. Sheets will analyze data, generate formulas, and categorize worksheets.
  5. Meet will capture notes and create new backgrounds.
  6. Chat will improve productivity with workflows.

Google announced that it would start rolling out AI for Gmail and Google Docs. Gmail will rewrite your content based on your preferences.

It could, for example, apply a formal tone to a message intended for a new employer. It could also produce a summary of bullet points from a recent meeting.

Using Google Docs, you will be able to write content on any topic, thereby eliminating writer’s block.
