Marvel is a very integral part of pop culture. The franchise is behind iconic movies, cartoons, live-action series, comics, and toys. Every generation surely has a story to tell of their favorite Marvel superheroes. And a big part of that success is because of their awesome animated series. Kids from different generations glue their eyes on the TV every morning or before they sleep watching these awesome cartoon series.
Here are some underrated superhero gems that Marvel fans love and new fans can watch whether on Disney+ or DVD:
Marvel Anime: X-Men (2011)
Back in 2011, Marvel releases a four-part special featuring 12-episode series. These series are entitled “Iron Man,” “Blade,” “Wolverine,” and “X-Men.”
Of the four series, I really like X-Men. The visuals and design of the X-Men heroes are just so stunning and capture the beauty of the mutant heroes. The action scenes are so intense and let me just say that Hisako Ichiki is a certified cutie!

X-Men The Animated Series (90’s)
This was the ultimate favorite of the ’90s kids and also those born in the 2000s. I really like the futuristic cyberpunk design of the series, especially in the episodes adapted from comic book storylines like “Days of Future Past” and “The Phoenix Saga.”
This series is critically acclaimed and is a classic fan-favorite leveling itself with Batman The Animated Series.

Spectacular Spider-Man
Spectacular Spider-Man is perhaps one of the greatest adaptations of the Marvel superhero. It features a full load of supervillains from Doctor Octopus, Green Goblin, Venom, Vulture, Electro, and a dramatic arc for Spidey’s friends Harry Osborn and Norman Osborn. I used to watch this on Cartoon Network every Saturday and I hope I can see it again on Disney+ soon!

Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes
Fun fact, this is my personal favorite. Awesome head-banging soundtrack? Check! Intense fight scenes with compelling storylines? Big check! Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes captures my heart because of the premise of all big heroes joining forces to fight evil. This awakened my love for Marvel and then got me hooked on the MCU.
