ELLE Philippines is set to launch in March 2027 through a licensing partnership with Lagardère Group, owner of ELLE. For this new edition, Josh Yugen as President and Ian Borromeo as CEO and Publisher will bring the world’s number one female media brand to Filipino audiences.
ELLE Philippines will cover fashion, beauty, culture, society, and lifestyle through stories that reflect the interests and ambitions of modern Filipino women. The publication also aims to establish itself as the Philippines’ leading fashion and lifestyle media brand.

Behind ELLE Philippines

Josh Yugen, founder of XPEDITION Magazine and the executive behind Yugen PR, brings expertise in journalism, publishing, and communications, with ventures spanning Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
Ian Borromeo, on the other hand, will lead ELLE Philippines’ business strategy, publishing operations, commercial partnerships, and organizational development, drawing on his experience in luxury, fashion, entertainment, and brand communications at House of Yugen.
Together, Yugen and Borromeo will work to establish the Philippine edition’s creative and operational foundations. They consequently aim to prioritize editorial excellence, local relevance, and sustainable business growth.
What the leaders want for ELLE Philippines
“ELLE is a global name. Our responsibility is to give it an authentic Filipino voice,” said Josh. He added that Filipino designers, photographers, artists, and emerging creatives deserve opportunities to showcase their work internationally. He hopes this new chapter will help open doors for local talent.
Ian then emphasized that ELLE Philippines should belong to everyone. “It should celebrate where we come from, discover where we are going, and give Filipino creativity the platform it deserves on the world stage,” he said.
Plans for a launch celebration in Manila are currently underway. Meanwhile, ELLE Philippines will release its first print issue in March 2027.
