Why ‘Modern Family’ is Worth Rewatching

As Disney+ heads to the Philippines last November, Filipinos can now watch content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, Star, and more. Other contents include Korean, action, and heartwarming films and series that can be watched only on the newest streaming platform.

One of these contents is series and sitcoms. Modern Family was previously streamed on another platform but was eventually pulled out. And now it’s back again for streaming.

It’s time to relive the magic of the heartfelt series, here’s why you need to rewatch Modern Family:

Superb Acting

The storyline of the Modern Family will not work without its characters that were beautifully drafted. And these characters’ dynamics will not work without the portrayal of the cast. The show works because of the versatility of the cast. And the show will be different if other actors were slated. The uniqueness of their characters mixed with the hearty storyline makes us appreciate the show more.

Witty Jokes and Treatment

The show ran for a good 11 seasons. It will not be that way if the writers and producers come up with a comedy show that is full of cliches, traditional storylines, and slapstick comedy. The delivery of lines and jokes is crafted beautifully. It also has no laugh track, which makes the delivery of lines a lot funnier. The comedic side of the show is not pushed and you just find yourself enjoying the show.

The treatment is also new compared to the previous comedy shows. A mockumentary is a depiction of a fictional storyline presented as a documentary. Other mockumentary shows depict life in their workplaces. But the feels in the Modern Family is different, making its way closer to our hearts as we became part of the family. The title itself reflects how the show is written and produced. It depicts not only a story of a modern family, but also a modern approach to comedy.

The jokes and punchlines of the show mix well with how it was delivered and how the scene was presented. They were written not just for the audience to laugh at them, but also, to narrate and advance the storyline of each episode. And after each episode comes the moral of the story. Like Gloria has described Salazar and El Oso, a Columbian comedic act in the show, they make you laugh, but also, they make you think.

Ending the wonderful series on Season 11 last 2020, the show left us all crying, as if we were part of the extended family and we too, were saying goodbye to the Pritchetts. After the series has ended, the cast outside their reel life still greets each other like their own relatives. And they still see each other from time to time but the support is consistent. You can watch the Modern Family on Disney+ with other series and content.
