Choosing your appliances, buying groceries, budgeting your money, and doing all the household chores without any disturbance is a dream come true for someone who’s been dreaming of living alone ever since. How wonderful it is to live under a roof independently. The peace and quiet it emits are highly addictive.

Living alone is all fun and games. It’s like you are just playing, but like an adult kind of with responsibilities. But this enjoyable side of living alone stops when the dark side of it comes over. And here are the things you are going to be battling with once you start living alone.

Sadness

Some of us choose to live alone, while others do so because of circumstances that are beyond our control. But whatever the reason is, according to a recent study, adults who live alone have an 80% higher chance of being sad and lonely than those who live with other people. It is because you have no one to talk to or bond with that the loneliness within you will make you feel so sad.

Depression

Everyone needs some time alone to allow their brains to rest and rejuvenate, but too much time alone or a lack of social connections can have a negative impact on your mental and physical health. You never know. The sadness you are feeling at the moment can eventually lead to depression, so it is really important to balance the healthy alone time where we are being productive and the unhealthy alone time where we are feeling lonely.
