Taylor Swift releases the re-recorded version of 1989’s ‘This Love’
Without prior notice, Taylor Swift has once again shocked the swifties worldwide by releasing the re-recorded This Love from the 1989 album. Less than a day after teasing it in Amazon Prime’s video series The Summer I Turned Pretty, Taylor Swift then released the complete studio recording of her song This Love at midnight on Friday, May 06.
Taylor releases This Love (Taylor’s Version)
On Instagram, Taylor Swift wrote a comment alongside the trailer, referring to the Summer trilogy author, who will debut on June 17.
“Thank you, @jennyhan for debuting my version of ‘This Love’ in the trailer for @thesummeriturnedpretty!! I’ve always been so proud of this song and I’m very 🥺🥺🥺 about this turn of events.”
Jenny Han teased her TikTok fans the day before that she had secured one of the singer-songs songwriters for the series, but she didn’t say which one.
“In my wildest dreams, I never dreamed of this.”
This Love is initially released on Swift’s 2014 album 1989. Although the new re-recording did not seem to be linked to an album release as of press time.
In the meantime, Swift has re-recorded versions of Fearless and Red. While 1989, Reputation, Taylor Swift, and Speak Now are still yet to come.

Until now, Taylor Swift’s 1989 Album has no official release date yet. However, after This Love was released recently, Swifties believe that it will be Taylor’s next re-record album.
Technically speaking, The 1989 (Taylor’s Version) period has already begun since Taylor released the first re-recorded song, ‘Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version),’ in September. This song is still the fan’s favorite, especially when it appears in the animated film Spirit Untamed trailer. Plus, it also became a new TikTok sensation.
Unfortunately, despite the hype of the swifties, there is no information on when fans would be able to purchase the complete album. As a swiftie myself, I guess let’s just wait and enjoy This Love (Taylor’s Version) until then.
