‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’ to be released soon — a testament of Taylor Swift’s burning power

After the successful release of the first Taylor’s Version, Fearless, comes the highly-anticipated second one, Red! Not only do we get 30 songs, but it seems like we will also have a 10-minute version of one of her most heart-wrenching tracks, All Too Well. How amazing is that?! Burning red, indeed!

Red (Taylor's Version)

The masters of the pop icon remain in the hands of Scooter Braun. That’s why she announced way back that she’ll be releasing her own iterations of her past works called, Taylor’s Version.

On April 9, 2021, she released her first-ever re-recording, Fearless. The new set is her ninth No. 1 and scores the biggest week of 2021 for any album. It launched with 291,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending April 15, according to MRC Data.

As per Billboard, Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is the only No. 1 album of its kind: a re-recording of an artist’s (own or another’s) previously released album.

This proves that the power that the pop legend holds is undeniable and still pretty intact. Taylor Swift clearly is one of the best artists in the history of music to be able to pull this off. And us Swifties have been very supportive of this ever since her battle against Scooter. She deserves to do this and the success she achieved with it.

With this said, the amazing storyteller announced in her social media accounts—both on Twitter and Instagram—that the next album that she will re-record is Red. Taylor being Taylor wrote a heartfelt post. It described how the album resembled a heartbroken person.

“Musically and lyrically, Red resembled a heartbroken person. It was all over the place, a fractured mosaic of feelings that somehow all fit together in the end. Happy, free, confused, lonely, devastated, euphoric, wild, and tortured by memories past.”

The talented singer also shared her experience of recording it again and how it healed her.

“Like trying on pieces of a new life, I went into the studio and experimented with different sounds and collaborators. And I’m not sure if it was pouring my thoughts into this album, hearing thousands of your voices sing the lyrics back to me in passionate solidarity, or if it was simply time, but something was healed along the way.”

The beautiful post also contained words of advice for people in the process of moving on. Like how she tried to move on when she wrote Red way back then. She always finds a way to write a letter to her fans while also delivering amazing news. To read the whole post, here it is.
