Meiji Cruz is Miss CosmoWorld Philippines 2022
Another Binibini has been given the chance to represent The Philippines! Congratulations to Bb. Pilipinas 2022 2nd runner-up Meiji Cruz for being appointed as the new Miss CosmoWorld Philippines 2022. She will be representing the country at Miss CosmoWorld 2022.
The announcement was first made by Binibining Pilipinas yesterday, October 4, through a Facebook post. The caption reads, “Binibining Pilipinas 2021 2nd Runner Up is on the launchpad to Malaysia to compete in Miss Cosmoworld International. Good luck to you Binibini Meiji!”
Appreciating everyone’s love and support, Meiji expresses this gratitude through an Instagram post made the following day.
Pageant TOTGA no more
Meiji competed at Bb. Pilipinas 2021. Aside from her runner-up finish, she also won Best in Swimsuit. Despite a strong performance, it was shocking to see when she didn’t bag any crown during the finals.
With her new title, Meiji along with her 2021 sister queens shown to be quite a lucky batch. This is because every single one of them have been given the chance to compete at an international pageant.
Samantha Panlilio was the first to compete, flying to Thailand for Miss Grand International 2021. Next up were back-to-back winners Cinderella Obeñita and Maureen Montagne who won the Philippines’ 2nd crowns at Miss Intercontinental and The Miss Globe 2022, respectively.
Just this year, 1st runner-up Gabrielle Basiano competed again at Binibini winning Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2022. She went to Egypt for Miss Intercontinental 2022, placing in the Top 20.
Lastly, Hannah Arnold, Bb. Pilipinas International 2021 has yet to represent the country at Miss International. After a few postponements, the 2022 edition will finally take place in Japan this December.
Meiji will have at least 2 weeks to prepare as the finals of Miss CosmoWorld 2022 will be on November 30. The pageant will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
