Meet the Four Adorable Cast of the Film “20th Century Girl”

Have you watched the film “20th Century Girl” on Netflix? It seems like the cast has taken us too on an emotional roller coaster ride! I understand why so many fans are still in tears to this day. No one, even Na Bo-ra and me, can ever get over the film’s surprising ending.

To make up for the emotional damage caused by the film, here are some facts about the cast.

Kim Yoo-jung – Plays Na Bo-ra

Kim Yoo-Jung portrayed the character Na Bo-ra in the film, a 17-year-old student from Cheongju Wooam High School. Her life begins to change after deciding to gather information about Baek Hyun-jin (Park Jung-woo), her best friend’s crush.

Kim Yoo-Jung, popularly known as “Korea’s Little Sister,” began her acting career at the age of four (2003). She quickly rose to fame in South Korea as the Most Popular Child Actress. Yoo-jung has appeared in numerous films, television series, and music videos, as well as participated in and hosted reality shows. Kim Yoo-jung already established her acting career in 2010 and played major roles in dramas. She also portrayed the younger version of Han Hyo joo’s character in Dong-yi. During her first drama as an adult, she earned the ‘Excellence Award, Actress in a Mid-length Drama’. The actress played the role of Hong Ra-on in “Love in the Moonlight” alongside Park Bo-gum. Furthermore, Kim Yoo-jung has garnered numerous awards and nominations. Beginning with the award for Best Child Actress (2012) and continuing through the most recent awards from her other dramas.

Byeon Woo-seok – Plays Poong Woon-ho

Alongside Kim Yoo-jung, Byeon Woo-seok also appeared in the film. He portrayed the character Poong Woon-ho, a member of the Broadcasting club where he became Bo-ra’s partner and Baek Hyun-jin’s best friend.

Byeon Woo-seok may be familiar to you as he has appeared in other dramas. In 2016, he made his acting debut as Go Ha-jin’s boyfriend in “Scarlet Heart Ryeo” and Song Jung-shik in “Dear My Friends”. The actor has also starred as a guest in other popular dramas. Byeon Woo-seok went on to have major roles in dramas like Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency, Record of Youth, and Moonshine. He also participated in various Television Shows and movies. Confirmed to star in “Strong Woman Gang Nam Soon,” a sequel to the hit drama “Strong Woman Do Bong,” Byeon Woo-seok will work with Lee Yoo-mi, Ong Sung-woo, and others.

Roh Yoon-seo – Plays Kim Yeon-doo

Actress Roh Yoon-seo portrayed the character Kim Yeon-doo, Na Bo-ra’s best friend. Smitten with the guy she met at her family’s tailoring shop, Yeon-doo almost avoided her heart surgery in America. Good thing, Na Bo-ra has a better plan. She decided to just update Yeon-doo with facts she gathered about her crush.

Roh Yoon-seo made her acting debut as Bang Yeong-ju, a pregnant high school girl, in the tvN drama “Our Blues.” (2022) She is now known for her role as Kim Yeon-doo in her first film, “20th Century Girl.” Prior to her acting debut, the actress worked as a model for MAA Korea and began advertising cosmetics in 2018.

Park Jung-woo – Plays Baek Hyun-jin

In the drama, Park Jung-woo plays Poong Woon-ho’s bestfriend, Baek Hyun-jin. He was followed by Na Bo-ra as per Yeon-doo’s request to gather information about him. Soon enough, Baek Hyun-jin develops feelings for Bo-ra.

Park Jung-woo has already appeared in films, web series, and television shows. He starred as Kang Yoon in the 2017 web series Love Playlist. In addition, the actor appeared in the South Korean drama “Hospital Playlist” as Jang Ga Eul, Gyeo Wool’s brother. Park Jung-woo has been in a couple of dramas, including Team Bulldog: Off-duty Investigation and Salon De Nabi.

The four adorable cast members of Netflix’s “20th Century Girl” stole my heart. I’ll admit that this two-hour film had a long-lasting impact on me. Reading and writing articles about them is the only way for me to live with the damage they created. I’m looking forward to seeing them together in one frame again, as well as walking along the paths prepared for them.
