Matteo Guidicelli speaks up on Sarah Geronimo’s possible transfer to GMA
Actor Matteo Guidicelli has offered insights about the possibility of Sarah Geronimo following in his footsteps and switching to GMA Network.
Last Thursday, Guidicelli officially became a Kapuso artist after signing a contract with GMA Network. His transfer ended his over ten years of stay under the care of ABS-CBN Network, although he worked briefly for GMA in 2009.
From 2010 onwards, Guidicelli starred in several Kapamilya shows, including Agua Bendita, Mara Clara, Dolce Amore, and Bagani. On the other hand, he worked last in the now-defunct variety program Tropang LOL before shifting to a new network.
Following his transfer, Guidicelli will be part of several Kapuso programs, prominently under GMA Public Affairs. He is slated to appear in the upcoming action-drama series Black Rider and will also be involved in a documentary that explores nature.
With Guidicelli embarking on a new beginning in his showbiz career, many are curious if his other half, Geronimo, will soon join him.

In an interview with the Inquirer, Guidicelli addressed the speculations. He stated that his ideal scenario is to have Geronimo with him “anywhere” and “everywhere” if possible. However, the actor remarked that he holds no control over the final decision.
“We don’t know [what’s next], but Attorney [Felipe] Gozon (chair and chief executive officer of GMA) is good at negotiating. [So,] maybe. We never know,” he told the press.
At present, Geronimo remains an exclusive talent of ABS-CBN with active appearances in the musical-variety show ASAP Natin ‘To. Meanwhile, Guidecelli started his hosting stint with GMA through Unang Hirit on May 15.
Despite working for different networks, the two support each other’s decisions and commitments. In particular, Guidicelli described his wife as “encouraging” of his new journey.
