On June 2, according to Hanteo Chart, a South Korean music chart that counts all Korean album sales, SEVENTEEN’s Face the Sun surpassed two million sales. This makes SEVENTEEN the second artist in Hanteo history to achieve two million sales in the first week of release.

During the first week of pre-orders, SEVENTEEN sold 1.74 million copies of Face the Sun. Hence, SEVENTEEN becoming a “Double Million Seller” is not a surprise.

This highly anticipated album has nine tracks that show how the group explores and tries a variety of music genres.

The Tracklist

The album starts with the track “Darl+ing,” a pre-released single and the first fully English-language song sung by all group members.

The title track and lead single of this album is “HOT,” a hip-hop genre and considered to be one of the most explosive songs of the group that runs in 3 minutes and 17 seconds.

Another track is “DON QUIXOTE.” It is a song based on the Spanish epic novel by Miguel de Cervantes with the same title.

There is also “March,” the track with a rock sound and vibes, then there is “Domino,” another lively and energetic song from the album.

The song “Shadow” is about the idea of embracing one’s inner shadows.

The last three tracks are “’bout you,” a love song about expressing an overwhelming love for someone through a song, “IF you leave me” is a heartbreaking ballad song written for Carats (the official fandom name for SEVENTEEN) with the core message of “let’s always be together”, and “Ash” which is the last track in the album.

BE THE SUN

After the successful comeback, the group is set to hold a world tour starting this month.

The agency of SEVENTEEN, Pledis Entertainment, officially announced their plans for World Tour with the title “BE THE SUN.” This will be their first world tour in two years because of the restrictions brought by the COVID-19 Pandemic.

“Starting from Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, SEVENTEEN is coming to Carat all around the world with 12 arena shows in North America, an arena tour in Asia and six dome shows in Japan from November to December,” Pledis Entertainment announced on May 17.
