Fall for Jay Garche’s Rendition of the Iconic Song ‘Mahal na Mahal’
The iconic song ‘Mahal na Mahal,’ as performed by Jay Garche, will surely captivate many listeners. The Bacolod native singer and The Voice Teens PH 2020 alumnus released this soul-stirring version on Friday, September 30, as his latest single under the music label Universal Records Philippines.
‘Mahal na Mahal’ was first brought into the mainstream by Archie D. in the late nineties. It was only in 2013 when singer-actor Sam Concepcion revived the hit song, belonging to his Infinite album under Universal Records. Archie and Sam both accomplished an outstanding job with their own interpretations of this love ballad. Fast forward to 2022, ‘Mahal na Mahal’ will have its yet another perspective with Jay Garche’s tear-jerking musical arrangements.
Garche, who goes by the moniker “Dependable Dancing Brother of Bacolod,” during The Voice Teens, pointed out how the release was just in time. According to the UR recording artist, he finished recording the popular love song two months prior. By the end of the year, he also plans to launch a ‘Mahal na Mahal’ music video. To which something listeners must look forward to.
‘Mahal na Mahal’ took place after Garche’s first original single, titled ‘Hayaan Lang,’ in June this year. This debut song, as he mentioned, brought healing and comfort during the recording phase. “Kung need mo ng comfort, music is always there,” the young music artist shared.
Besides Universal Records as his platform, Jay was able to serenade many of his listeners on his YouTube channel. As of writing, it already has 135,000 subscribers and counting. He deeply connects with his fans on this, as he uploads videos of his acapella and OPM covers, original compositions, and life happenings. He is active as well on social media platforms like Kumu and Tiktok.
