Nonetheless, this could be one of the best parts of your college years, especially during freshmen. That is why we listed some of the essential things you will need to have in a dormitory.

Essential things you will need living in a dormitory

Bedding

Basically, your bed is your own and only personal space in a dormitory. So, bedding is the most important thing you should consider investing in. You can choose a bedsheet in your chosen style and color, but make sure that it is made of cotton. It’s good to have two head pillows, and a bolster to hug. Keep an extra bedsheet, blanket, and pillowcases so you can change your bedding every two weeks. You can spray some linen sprays available in the market, so you can keep your bedding fresh and comfortable to sleep in.

Food stocks and dinnerwares

Dormitory may be just your temporary home, but don’t let it deter you from making healthy yet delicious meals for yourself. Some of the dormitories have refrigerators, stoves, and microwaves for you to use, and choosing these dorms is a must. Make sure you have a gallon of drinking water and buy some fruits and vegetables in the market if you have time to cook. Some of the food supplies you can buy in the grocery are fresh milk, wheat bread, coffee, eggs, frozen goods for breakfast, and some condiments. Avoid buying lots of chips, instant canned food, and instant noodles to not be unhealthy.

For dinnerware, you can bring at least a pair of plates, spoon and fork, a coffee mug, and a drinking glass. Invest in a good tumbler, or you can buy a flask tumbler to keep your water cool.
