“WALANG ARTI-ARTISTA!” Chie Filomeno denies special treatment accusations in getting her gov’t IDs
Social media vixen Chie Filomeno has finally spoken, addressing the allegations that she got special treatment in processing her government IDs.
Filomeno, a former GirlTrends member, has a strong online presence. Apart from being an Instagram star, she has almost 2M followers on her Facebook page alone. With this, some things she shared on her accounts became the subject of internet discussions.
Among the trending topics linked to Filomeno is her viral passport photo in May this year. After changing her Facebook DP with her passport image, Netizens raised eyebrows at how she was questionably all glammed up. Circled the many insinuations that she bypassed strict rules of the government-issued document.
Months after, Filomeno will again attract attention for almost the same reason. She garnered mixed responses for her publicized driver’s license picture. Although some elicited positive reactions, several accused her of receiving special treatments.
Allegedly, the government offices responsible for processing the said IDs were lenient with Filomeno in implementing particular rules. For example, many bear witness to their experiences of not being allowed to wear makeup or any accessories. On the other hand, it was not the case for Filomeno.
Due to the growing accusations, the ex-PBB housemate took to Facebook to explain her side.
“10 years. Dapat worth it. WALANG ARTISTA ARTISTA DITO! KALOKA. Nakakarindi ‘yung mga comment na ‘porket artista ganito ganun.’ Hindi po ganon. At hindi gagawin ng mga trabahante ng DFA and LTO ang may pa-special treatment.”
Filomeno further said that she only picked up handy tips and applied them from TikTok. She sought to be freed of all unfair imputations, emphasizing she comprehensively read and followed the guidelines.
Lastly, Filomeno stressed that she exerted effort because she wanted to look presentable on her IDs. She called out to the public to let people like her just enjoy their thing.
