Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G: Is it worth the hype?

It is no doubt that most Xiaomi phones are budget-friendly, especially their mid-range Note Series. And this year, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 series brings two models. The regular Note 11 and the Note 11 Pro 5G model.

The people loved the latter unit more, as this has features ‘pro’ phones usually have. That said, this phone was hyped upon its release on the market. But is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G really worth the hype?

This phone on the outside surely feels like what a pro phone would be in the hand. Its screen is made up of Corning Gorilla Glass 5, and it has a glass back. It has a 6.67 inches Full HD+ Super AMOLED display that refreshes on 120Hz. Since it is a pro phone, it can survive outdoor usage. It can get up to 700 nits and has 1200 nits as for its peak brightness.

Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G comes with IP53 rate protection and is dust and splash-resistant. And it houses a hybrid dual sim card slot.

The power button also acts as a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for an additional level of security. For its color, Note 11 Pro 5G comes in three different colors. Graphite Gray, Polar White, and Atlantic Blue

One thing pro about this phone is its big 5000 mAh Li-Po battery, and how fast it can charge. From 0 to 51%, it only needs a 15-minute charge. And to fully charge it, you only need a total of 42 minutes. That is how pro and how fast a 67W phone can be. This phone can survive a full-day us. And on the second day with some juice left, it can still function.

And out of the box, Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G runs on MIUI 13 over Android 11. This phone runs on Qualcom SM6375 Snapdragon 695 5G, a 6 nanometer processor.

Camera Setup and Phone Storage

This phone sports a triple-camera module lense. The pro 108 MP Wide lens, the 8MP Ultrawide, and the Macro that is 2MP. Its pro feature makes it able to capture photos in broad daylight and record videos by 1080P@30 fps a piece of cake.

And on the front, the punch-hole lense is 16MP, that can record also record at 1080P@30 fps.

As for the storage capacity, Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G starts of at 6GB RAM and 65GB base storage. And its other options include 4GB/6GB RAM and128GB storage, and the highest one is 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage. It all depends on how much money you are willing to pay.

But as said before, the Redmi Note series of Xiaomi is known for its budget-friendly pricing. And this unit is not an exception! Imagine, for only 16,000 Php you get to experience this phone’s pro features.

But be the judge of it, with the features said and considering its price, is the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G worth the hype?
