Willie Revillame will not run for any post in the 2022 elections
Willie Revillame revealed how he has no intention to run for public office in the 2022 national elections.
This announcement comes amid speculations of a possible senatorial campaign.
Continuing public service through his show
Before the announcement, last Thursday, October 7, his show Tutok to Win sa Wowowin showed clips of his public service throughout the years.
The television host told his viewers,
Moreover, Revillame also made a promise to continue doing public service through his program in GMA-7.
He said,
A needed knowledge for law
Additionally, he said he has no knowledge of the law and making them.
In previous times, Revillame revealed how he has been receiving calls from President Rodrigo Duterte.
This, in turn, ignited speculations from the public about a possible political run for him.
In addition, a video message from Duterte himself spread online, convincing Revillame to run for senator.
Furthermore, the chief executive cited the Wowowin host’s connection to the public as his reason for urging him to run.
Also, Revillame made an appearance after a Malacañang press briefing last 2020, announcing a P5 million donation for jeepney drivers who have been deprived of work because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Additionally, the filing of certificates of candidacy for the 2022 elections ends on Friday, October 8.
Moreover, Revillame began his career as a television host for the GMA Network.
Previously throughout his career, he hosted variety shows in different networks such as Magandang Tanghali Bayan, Wowowee, and Wil Time Bigtime.
