Why is Being a Part of a College Organization a must?

College really is a huge challenge for everyone before advancing to the real world. Different experiences, realizations, and learnings are harnessed from our college years. However, you can not have the full college experience without trying to join any organization in your chosen university. In my opinion, being part of any college organization made my college life a much more memorable one.

College Orgmates for Life

Much like what everyone says, ā€œthe more, the merrier.ā€ In this case, the more friends you have, the more fun it is going to be. Imagine having a lot of friends outside of your classroom. It can be fun because you can hang out with anyone at any time of the day.

Aside from having experiences with your block mates during class hours, you can also spend quality time with them, especially during events. Each year, you will have the opportunity to meet new faces and new personalities.

In my own case, I met a lot of friends in my circle inside the organization. Quite frankly, I have met more friends in my organization than my own block mates. For me, our bond became so much stronger through every event and activity that our organization conducts yearly.

A personā€™s life can not be complete without a mouthful of gossip when you are inside an organization. Just kidding! For us, it is like a life-support system that keeps us motivated to do our tasks for a specific event. However, this gossip is non-harmful and is just for fun purposes only. Of course, we do not want to belittle someone by spreading rumors and hate speeches against them.

It is fun to talk about a lot of things together with your org mates. Anything can be a topic. Even the most random thing in the world can ignite a conversation between all of us. However, the best topic for us is reminiscing our history inside the organization. Just remembering our shared history together is a topic that can last for a whole day.

Hidden Subject: College Organization

Any organization will teach you a very specific and unique lesson in life. It may vary on experience and how your stay was inside the organization. As a broadcasting college student, I was fortunate to be a part of our universitiesā€™ official radio station.

My three-year stay there has taught me a lot of lessons not just in my profession but also in life. Looking back, it has taught me to be a more responsible leader. However, aside from being a leader, it is also important to be a member at the same time. Never drown yourself with power and always wear your peopleā€™s shoes to know what they are all feeling under your management. A leader must stop pressuring rather they must start nurturing their people.

Life inside the organization gives us a glimpse of what we can expect once we finish our studies. If you want to have a full-circle college experience in you, I encourage you to join any college organization that you like. Once you are a part of it, be prepared for an extreme roller-coaster ride of experiences.
