The park was initially built to be the location of the Congress of the Philippines but was later interrupted by World War II. After the war, former president Sergio Osmeña issued the creation of the park as the memorial place for President Manuel L. Quezon in December 1945.

Since then the park was transformed into the resting place of the 2nd president Manuel L. Quezon and her wife. The park also offers museums, recreational spaces, and a garden. This attracts thousands of visitors to pay tribute to the late president. It is also ideal for picnics, family gatherings, and, as mentioned, dates. It’s open and free to the public making it one of the go-to places in the city.

Art in Island: 3D Art Gallery

The art gallery is located in Cubao, Quezon City, and offers art exhibitions. It’s a fun, creative, and interactive place where you can take selfies in a unique way. The Jorge B. Vargas Museum & Filipiniana Research Center or UP Vargas Museum can be found in Diliman, Quezon City. The museum houses a different collection of arts, stamps, and coins that are the personal belongings of Jorge B. Vargas. Jorge B. Vargas was a lawyer, diplomat, and youth advocate who became the founding member of today’s Philippine Olympic Committee.

The museum also houses paintings of different legendary artists such as Juan Luna and Fernando Amorsolo. The museum can be found inside the UP Diliman campus if you planned to visit.

La Mesa Ecopark

The La Mesa Ecopark is located in Greater Lagro, Quezon City. The 33-acre park offers you activities such as hiking, mountain biking, rappelling, and zip-lining. If you and your partner like nature then La Mesa Ecopark is perfect for you.

The park is one of the remaining eco forests in Metro Manila. It also comprises some species of birds and other wildlife living in it. The park was renovated to save it from dying and is now accepting thousands of tourists who want to enjoy nature even inside Metro Manila.
