‘Vines’ People Still Quote

After reigning the internet world for almost four whole years, Vine met its demise too soon at the beginning of 2017.

But even though #Vinesisdead for half a decade now, the inside jokes and catchphrases that were a total hit on the app are still alive up until today.

Here are a few vines that people can’t seem to shake off, and stop referencing up until now.

STOOOP

“STOOOOP, I coulda’ dropped my croissant” is such a funny line that it’s still being talked about on various TikTok videos. There’s something about this guy’s genuine concern for his croissant that made him so notable to people.

Ah F*ck

“I can’t believe you’ve done this.” The “et tu brute” of the modern age. It is consequently dropped on comments sections for videos or posts that are simply jail-able. Even without context, any vine person will read this phrase with a fancy accent in a betrayed tone.

LOOK AT ALL THOSE

This adorable kid in the “Look at all those chickens” vine probably has grown big by now. But one thing is for sure, people will always remember her iconic honest mistake. Up until today, a flock of ducks can validly be called chickens.

Hi, welcome to Chili’s

Adam Perkins reached internet stardom with this “Hi, welcome to Chili’s” vine. Eventually, after the app’s shutdown, Perkins pursued his true passion which is music. He passed away too soon shortly after, but he’s certainly remembered.

Jared, 19

“What up I’m Jared, I’m 19. And I never f*cking learned how to read.” is still alive even on TikTok, it is humorous how some people would call other people a Jared if he’s remotely showing inadequacy. It must be the most harmless way of saying “hey, you should like.. study.”
