INSTAGRAM RAID: Iza Calzado in White
In the 2022 adaptation of the iconic superhero series Mars Ravelo’s Darna or simply Darna, Iza Calzado portrayed Leonor Custodio. She is the “first Darna” and the mother of Narda, her future successor to the role. In the pilot episode, Iza Calzado transformed into Darna and flew to fight an enemy for the first time. However, in the second episode, her character, unfortunately, died due to a fatal attack done by an alien opponent.
Of course, Iza gave the role justice as she acted all of her scenes effortlessly in the series. Truly, she exhibited her brilliance as an actress which hails from her talent and years of acting experience. On the other hand, her few appearances on the television series only prompted me to see more of her.
One day, I visited Iza’s Instagram account to check her posts and to get to know her more. Then, upon observation, I noticed that many of her photos are “her” in white wardrobes. It seems that Iza prefers to wear something white whenever she receives and shares the best gifts in her life. Acting Award
Iza wore a white Filipiniana, with some touches of yellow details, when she received an award for her acting prowess. In 2018, she accepted an Ani ng Dangal award from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. She was recognized for the Best Performer award that she bagged at the Osaka Asian Film Festival in 2017.
Meanwhile, Iza earned all of these prestigious awards for her outstanding performance in Bliss. It is a 2017 psychological thriller film that she participated in as the leading actress.
Beach Wedding
Iza wore a white Rajo Laurel wedding dress on her wedding day back in 2018. She married her long-time businessman boyfriend Ben Wintle, the man who made her into a Mrs. Wintle. Meanwhile, their lovely beach wedding took place at Club Paradise, an island resort in Coron, Palawan.
The Signing
Following her wedding in 2018, Iza wore a white suit when she and Ben signed their marriage certificate. Clearly, she chose to officialize the proof of her marriage with Ben in white. Iza seems to love the color and perhaps, it bears some sort of special value for her. The Color white is mostly present in important moments of her life such as this—the signing of their marriage certificate.

Iza greeted 2022 with gravity-defying energy and pose in a white one-piece swimsuit. Her summer wardrobe absolutely flaunted her beautiful, sexy, and healthy body. This picture speaks so much about her positive outlook in life and her utmost appreciation for her body and health.
Pregnancy Announcement
On her Instagram post, Iza announced her pregnancy while wearing a white body-hugging jumpsuit and an oversized crisp shirt. The announcement was made on her 40th birthday and 20th year in the entertainment industry. Besides the lovely news that she’s pregnant at 40, she also revealed that her first pregnancy is unexpected. Despite the surprise, Iza expressed her utmost sincere gratitude in the long heartwarming caption.
Iza Calzado is one of the greatest and brightest stars in the Philippines. Whatever the role is, she always shines with beauty, passion, advocacy, wisdom, and love. Without a doubt, the once keeper of the white stone will always win our hearts in white.
