Universal Records PH and SHOW Co., Ltd signs partnership for strengthening P-POP

With the massive demand, popularity, and influence of Pinoy Pop or P-Pop right now in the Philippine music landscape, Universal Records Philippines, the home of the finest Original Pilipino Music (OPM) along with SHOW Co., Ltd. has agreed to form a strategic partnership to further strengthen its hype and exposure.

Present at the contract signing ceremony was the Universal Records Operations Manager Peter Chan, Managing Director Kathleen Dy-Go, along with ShowBT Korea, SHOW Korea, and SBTown Philippines CEO & President Geong Seong-Han, also known as Tatang Robin, accompanied by Ethan Yang and Adie Hong.

The contract signing is aimed at giving the best support for the possible talent and entertainment in today’s mainstream local and even international scenes, followers, and supporters of P-Pop while contributing to promoting the one-of-a-kind Filipino culture and artistry.

It is an open secret that Universal Records has always been the major record label that can be called the pioneer in promoting and supporting the rise of K-Pop music in the Philippines since the mid-late 2000s. From selling CDs and spearheading shows, the label continues to remain at the forefront of innovative ways of promoting these kinds of music, as well as bridging the gap between different cultures.
