Race Car by CALISTA is now on track in the music scene!

New P-pop girl group CALISTA officially released their debut single entitled Race Car on music streaming platforms on February 14!

Previously, in a social media post, the 6-member girl group said they decided to release their single this February as their way of showing their love to their fans.

In an exclusive feature with Village Pipol Magazine last October 2021 through VP/Xclusives, they shared that they believe their “innate passion for performing began at a young age.”

Members Olive, Laiza, Elle, Denise, Anne, and Dain also said that even if they are not the first girl group around, they are “here to stay and make a difference.”

“Marami kaming pinrepare and malapit na siyang ma-witness ng public. We will bombard the audience with our performances,” they also added then.

And with their debut single Race Car now in the scene, they did not only meet expectations but went beyond it!

Their group name was derived and inspired by Greek language, in which the term means “most feminine and beautiful,” they said. “At the same time, I thought of ‘cali’ because of caliber, which could mean level of your ability and also a gun’s caliber. Because we’re cute, yes, but we’re also fierce. We can be warm, but also edgy,” added Olive.
