‘Prima Donnas’ Book 2 is in the works

Just days after its successful run in GMA Network’s Afternoon Prime block, it was announced that Prima Donnas will be having its Book Two this year. In a report aired in Chika Minute, director Gina Alajar revealed that the team is currently preparing and the whole story is set to be completed soon.

“Meron nang plot, meron nang storya ang creatives so we will just iron it out, pagdudugtong-dugtungin nalang ‘yan and it’s going to be exciting,” Alajar said.

Meanwhile, the lead stars of the hit series could not help but feel happy and grateful for another opportunity.

“Alam ko po na ito po ‘yung gift namin ni God dahil meron po kaming nabibigay na lesson sa mga viewers namin. Very thankful po ako and sobrang saya ko po,” said Jillian Ward, who played Mayi.

Althea Ablan and Elijah Alejo, meanwhile, are both thankful that they can continue working with the cast.

“Sobrang saya, kasi parang hindi na namin kayang pakawalan ‘yung isa’t isa. Parang puwedeng kami na lang hanggang dulo,” said Althea, who played Donna Belle.
“Grabe po, masyado na po ako na-attach sa kanila,” added Elijah, who played Brianna.

Sofia Pablo, who played Lenlen, is happy that she can now join her co-stars.

“It means so much to me bilang Len Len kasi parang it gave another chance para maipakita ko ‘yung hindi ko nagawa because nga hindi ako nakabalik.”

Prima Donnas also received a commendation from the GMA Network Chairman and CEO Felipe L. Gozon for its consistent high ratings.

“Sobrang kinilabutan ako kasi s’yempre, coming from your big boss, na na-appreciate niya ‘yung show namin. All our hard work paid off. Talagang masaya ako,” Aiko Melendez said.
