Post-apocalyptic Video Games You Should Try

We all play games for a reason. We play for leisure, to kill boredom, to have fun with friends, and to experience the thrill. I have played different kinds of games be it on console, phone or computer. Most of the time I play for fun and to relieve stress, funny because I like to play horror games when I’m stressed out.

I love games where survival is the main objective and the world is devastated and broken. Post-apocalyptic games mainly focus on survival, hack and slash, and even stealth. Games like this are mostly horror games but not necessarily, other games have different themes other than classic zombie apocalypses.

Gaming is my therapy.

It’s not, actually gaming as therapy is sometimes more stressful than peaceful, especially if it’s online games. However, we play because it’s fun. I played all of the games that I have listed here years ago and to be honest I forgot most of their story. Nevertheless, I will never forget the experience I got when playing them. Now, I am too busy to start a game that has a story to follow, and I miss it dearly. So, if you still have extra time to game, seize it.

“I’ve struggled a long time with survivin’, but no matter what you have to find something to fight for.” – Joel, The Last of Us
