Miss Planet International to crown 2023 winner in November
After a turbulent edition last year, Miss Planet International embarks on a brand-new chapter. On the hunt for its newest queen, the pageant’s third edition will take place on November 19 in Cambodia.
Through a social media post on July 26, the pageant released an official announcement.

Previously announced exactly a month ago, the pageant is supported by Ministry of Tourism of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Details regarding the finals’ venue and other coronation details are to follow. Maria Luisa Varela of the Philippines will be crowning her successor.
Miss Planet International gained notoriety – especially in the Philippines – when Herlene Budol was appointed as Miss Planet Philippines 2022.
Flying to Uganda, the comedian-turned-beauty queen would ultimately withdraw from the competition due to onset of problems, which includes mismanagement from both the pageant and its organizers.
Miss Planet International 2022 would later move its location to Cambodia, with Maria Luisa serving as the Philippines’ newest representative. By winning the pageant, she becomes the first Filipina to do so.
The Philippines has yet to crown its delegate for Miss Planet International 2023.
